The ‘LOL’ Car

We call it the lol car…cause it makes you lol” [when you drive it]

Those are the words that Mannslayer, a member of NASIOC and resident of Vancouver, BC has given when asked about his newly built Subaru Impreza GC8.

Now when I say “newly built” I don’t mean that he’s just recently bought the car and thrown on some mods. In fact, he’s had the car for some time…and even back then, his GC8 was modded in a way that most would consider quite impressive. Here’s proof:

But to him, this just wasn’t enough. And before we knew it, his car was under the knife again with what seems like simple goals in mind – gain power and lose weight. Seems elementary for most car enthusiasts right? But his “simple” goals had big aspirations – sub 2600lbs and 450+whp to be exact. Here are some pics of the build in progress:

I can’t even begin to sort out what made it on this car beyond the obvious because he has bought and sold so many parts on NASIOC it’s ridiculous, but I can tell you that by far, this is the hottest and well put together GC8 I have ever seen in my life. Thanks to the 240sx fender flares, he is able to run a generous 18×10 square setup (+5 offset front / +1 offset rear). I am actually relieved he went the flare route vs. the widebody kit because the 240 flares really makes the car’s stance look that much meaner. Really does justice to the kind of beast he was trying to build.

I have always been a die-hard GC8 fan, but I know if I owned this car, it would make me do a lot more that ‘LOL’. The hotness:
